Here we are at commencement time, and this week I've taken the opportunity to reflect on my own high school graduation. There's a lot I don't remember, but a few things stick in my mind. One of them is that I routinely went rabbit hunting after school — on school property — and to get there I walked across the football team's practice field carrying a shotgun. (Don't try that today!
What happened? Not what would happen if you tried that today, probably not what you might expect, and certainly not what I expected.
If you want to know what happened, read "A Funny Thing Happened on My Way to Hunt Rabbits" in the June 14 issue of the Jamestown Gazette.
